Now entering its eleventh year, Lake Travis Reads 2018 will feature the new book by Nate Blakeslee, "American Wolf: A True Story of Survival and Obsession in the West." The enthralling story of the rise and reign of O-Six, the celebrated Yellowstone wolf, and the people who loved or feared her. Erik Larson, author of "The Devil in the White City," stated that the book “is a startlingly intimate portrait of the intricate, loving, human-like interrelationships that govern wolves in the wild, as observed in real time by a cadre of dedicated wolf-watchers—in the end, a drama of lupine love, care, and grief.” Lake Travis Reads is a part of the "One Book, One Community" program whose goal is to bring Lake Travis communities together through shared reading and discussion. Blakeslee will speak at an “Evening with the Author” on Wednesday, April 11th at 7pm at the Bee Cave Public Library.
