He and his wife Karen have two children, Julia and Will—both of whom graduated Texas A&M University.
Doug Land is a Broker/Associate at Kuper Sotheby's International Realty and has worked in Real Estate in the Lake Travis area for 22+ years. He has owned and/or managed companies for 18 years. He has a double degree in Computer Systems and Accounting from Oklahoma State University and worked in banking prior to entering Real Estate. He has consulted with LTISD, Fire Department and local municipalities over the years. His wife, Mary, is also a real estate broker and a graduate of University of Texas. He has called Lakeway home since 1992 and is active at the Lakeway Church and the Hills country club.
Lindsey Oskoui, Director of Planning & Development, City of Bee Cave
Lindsey Oskoui has been the Director of Planning & Development for the City of Bee Cave since 2012. In that capacity, she has overseen the City's update to its Comprehensive Plan, adoption of its Hike and Bike Connectivity Plan, designation as a platinum-certified Scenic City, and is currently engaged in an update to the City’s development codes. During her tenure, she has guided over 4,000,000 square feet of non-residential uses through the development process and has seen the City’s population grow by over 60 percent. It has been her priority to help the City find balance between the tremendous growth pressures it faces and the quality of life and economy it provides its residents and businesses; in that effort, she has helped shepherd implementation of the trails program; acquisition of property for parks and open space; strategic changes in transportation and housing policy; and cutting edge, dark skies-supportive lighting projects. Prior to joining Bee Cave, Lindsey worked for Ontario County, New York on transit, solid waste, and parks projects and for Wallace Roberts & Todd drafting Comprehensive Plans and Zoning Codes for municipalities throughout the country.
Julie Oakley, City Manager for the City of Lakeway, Texas
Julie Oakley is the City Manager for the City of Lakeway. She oversees all departments and staff members. The City Manager reports directly to the City Council and administers the day-to-day affairs of the city, implementing policies established by Council and ensuring the city operates in a fiscally responsible manner.
Julie began her career with the City of Lakeway in 2010 as Finance Director and then took over the role of Assistant City Manager. In late 2019, she was named Interim City Manager and soon offered the City Manager position. She is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, along with the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas. Julie was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry and Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Municipal Retirement System Board of Trustees.
During her time so far with the City of Lakeway, Julie implemented the regional household hazardous waste center and developed partnerships between various local government entities in Western Travis County. She developed the first Capital Improvement Plan for the City of Lakeway. Additionally, during her tenure as Finance Director, the bond rating increased, along with the city receiving stellar financial audits.
A native of Midland, Julie received her degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Before coming to the City of Lakeway and earlier in her career, Julie was employed by public accounting firms specializing in audit and tax, as County Auditor for Midland County, as Finance Manager for Dallas County Schools, as Financial and Legislative Analyst for the Texas Association of Counties and as Senior Financial Analyst for Travis County.
Julie enjoys spending time with her kids when they’re in town from college and watching them play at their numerous college sporting events. She also enjoys reading and traveling with her husband.
