    Lakeway Resort and Spa Appoints Chase Chasteen to Assistant General Manager Position

     

    LAKEWAY, TEXAS (Jan. 11, 2019) – Nestled on the banks of Lake Travis in Texas Hill Country, Lakeway Resort and Spa proudly announces the appointment of Chase Chasteen to the assistant general manager position, following nearly two years of success as the director of front office at the 168-room resort. With deep experience in the hospitality industry, Chasteen will be an integral part of the continued growth of the award-winning resort, recently named the No. 15 resort in Texas and the Midwest by Condé Nast Traveler readers.

    Chasteen has compiled nearly 13 years in the hospitality industry, beginning his career as a bellman at the Renaissance Austin while studying management information systems in the Business Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Chasteen would move forward into a position as rooms controller at Renaissance Chicago Downtown before moving back to Texas to proceed as front office supervisor at the Renaissance Austin. Chasteen excelled as the rooms operations manager at the Dallas Marriott City Center and later as the senior rooms operations manager at Renaissance Dallas Hotel. Most recently, Chasteen was the front office manager at the 1,012-room JW Marriott in downtown Austin, contributing to the property’s success as one of the highest performing hotels in the JW Marriott portfolio.

     

    Since joining the Lakeway Resort and Spa team as the director of front office in 2017, Chasteen’s expertise has been demonstrated through attracting and developing talent, implementing new processes and launching a property management system.
