About Lake Travis
About Lake Travis
The Lake Travis Chamber was founded in 1986 out of a growing need within the community to develop western Travis County and South Lake Travis as its own unique identity.
The Mission of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce is to foster the best economic climate in Lake Travis by connecting businesses, strengthening communities, and promoting the Lake Travis area as a destination. The Vision of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce is to be the Voice for Business in the South Lake Travis Area.
Initially set up by area business and civic leaders, the Lake Travis Chamber has become a sounding board for the community and has garnered a number of proactive community members and volunteers who have enabled the small-knit community to come together.
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, the Lake Travis Independent School District is one of the most progressive public school districts in the state. Established in 1981, LTISD is comprised of nine campuses within a radius of approximately 116 square miles. LTISD is a fast-growth district serving more than 9,800 students. Its reputation for excellence in academics, athletics and fine arts; well-equipped facilities supported by state-of-the-art technology; and dedicated, highly-qualified staff are a few of the many reasons why Lake Travis ISD is ‘The Destination District’ for thousands of families. Additionally, the Lake Travis Junior Chamber of Commerce was established in 2012 and continues to grow each year. For more information, visit the LT Junior Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
The Chamber hosts a number of events throughout the year and actively engages local businesses with opportunities to showcase their businesses within the community. Lake Travis business owners are also active within the community and serve in local fundraising activities for their residents.
Annual events for the Chamber include:
The Outstanding Achievement Awards Ceremony that recognizes businesses, individuals and non-profits for their contributions to the community.
SpringFest is the “Biggest time in the Smallest Town”! The annual festival is a family-friendly event celebrated the last weekend in April. Kiddos go wild in the Texas-sized KidZone, festival attendees enjoy live music all day, artisan shopping and the latest and greatest in watercraft at the Boat Expo. Enjoy eats from area food trucks and grab a frosty brew from the Craft BrewHaus. Check out LakeTravisSpringFest.com for details.
Birdies by the Lake Golf Tournament is the most fun and premiere tournament in Lake Travis. Whether you play, sponsor or volunteer, it’s a great day on the links!
In addition to annual events, the Chamber also hosts monthly luncheons, ribbon cuttings and Business After Hours events to give members the opportunity to 'get known and ben known' and to grow their business. Check out the Event Calendar for all the upcoming events.
We hope to see you soon!

I am so honored to be your Chairman this year. Please know I'll do my best to make a positive impact on the Lake Travis business community. We are all so blessed to live in such a thriving region, all centered around our beautiful lake and our exemplary rated Lake Travis school district. I've had the pleasure of living abroad and in other central Texas cities, all of which pale in comparison to our LT neighborhoods. My one request of you is to get involved, share your talents with your fellow business owners, I can promise you'll reap a return. Please reach out to me if I can be of help to any questions you have about the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and how you can get involved, and I'll get you answers.
As we all look forward to working with each other this year, pull someone up next to you, be the tide that makes all boats rise!

Message from the President
A Welcome from the President
I would like to personally welcome you to the Lake Travis area and the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. Since 1986, our Chamber of Commerce has represented the growing business community of the area. The Chamber began as a small group of local business and civic leaders who joined together in an effort to promote the culture of the Southern shores of Lake Travis. This dedication to the community has paid off and over the years it has grown to include a membership of over 427. The Lake Travis community is a wonderful place to relax, explore, and spend time with those who are most important; family and friends.
A valuable resource to visitors and locals alike, the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce is always happy to help you plan your trip and discover all that the area has to offer.
