Leadership Lake Travis Announces 1st Annual Service Project

Class To Provide Spread Holiday Cheer with a Celebration for Seniors at Park Manor

Bee Cave, TX (December 7, 2022) –  “Never Be Lonely” is the theme for the 1st annual Leadership Lake Travis service project. This year’s class of 27 participants will host and provide a holiday celebration for the residents at Park Manor assisted living and skilled nursing facility. The project was inspired by seniors many who are often alone or sometimes forgotten during the holidays. The celebration will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Leadership Lake Travis class will create a festive holiday with refreshments, pictures with Santa and the elves, and singing carolers. Each resident will receive a Santa hat.  There will be a photo booth so residents can have their picture taken with Santa and the elves, and each resident will also receive a holiday card and gift, all compliments of the class. The class will also recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the staff at Park Manor providing lunch and their own Santa hats.

As part of their year-long leadership program, the class of 27 participants was split into five teams. Each team had  to create and present a unique proposal for this years’ service project. By unanimous vote, the Class chose to honor the senior population and employees of Park Manor for the first annual LLT service project.

“The class was very clear about their choice to spread holiday cheer to those in the assisted living and skilled nursing facility of Park Manor.” said Karen Shultz, Executive Director of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. “ Three of the six core values of the LT Chamber are to be generous, impactful, and visionary. There is no better way this Class could exemplify and be true to these core values than to choose this important project within our own Lake Travis community.”

This years’ Leadership Lake Travis class will graduate in May of 2023.
